Wake Forest defeats the Pirates

ECU ended the 6 game win streak against Wake Forest University RFC last night with a loss of 36-42. This untypical Thursday night game proved to also unveil less than ideal weather. A further write up will follow on Monday 2/29/10.

ECU Rugby loses against CRL and Matrix foe Appalachian State

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22ND - ECU RFC drops another Carolinas Rugby League loss this past Saturday, February 20th. When the final whistle blew the score was 22-5 in the favor of Appalachian State. This loss puts the Pirates at an 0-2 start, and has most people wondering what happened to the ECU Rugby squad from recent history. The current Pirate team consists of just four regular starters from the Spring 2009 campaign. Even though ECU has endured two losses, the young ruggers still shows a lot of promise in this difficult Carolinas Rugby League.
